-Vermorel et Cie. was based in Villafranche, Rhone.

-It built the 40 hp, air-cooled V8. The pistons were 90 mm in diameter and 120 mm in stroke.

-The Vermorel engines, already giving 48 hp, also in V8 shape, were installed on the Vermorel monoplane and triplane. And in 1909 on the circular-winged Givaudan.

From Appendix 12: The Vermorel-Givaudan engine was built. It was designed by Claudius Givaudan. It is an air-cooled, 4-stroke V8 with both valves controlled.
